A cofferdam below the site is needed to prevent water from flowing backward into the project area. Just upstream of this temporary dam, three rock weirs (walls) will be built across the river to channel flows for fish and boaters toward the center of the river during low flow conditions. WPWA's goal is to maximize fish passage in all flow conditions.
